You can e-mail me by clicking here,
but if you're proposing a trade please have a quick look at my trading guidelines first.
Thanks, John
IMPORTANT: Unfortunately I have very little time for trading at the moment and
am currently only interested in excellent new material from
Natalie Merchant, Heather Nova, Mick Taylor, Snowy White and Fairground Attraction,
or really special material from other favourite artists.
I'm always happy to skim through a list, but I can't promise anything.
A great place to find other traders is the
CD-R trading web ring.
Trading guidelines
- Quote previous messages
in all e-mails or I may not know what you're talking about
- Use brand-name media (e.g. TDK, Kodak, Mitsui or Philips).
- Artwork is important to me. I prefer e-mailed artwork, but
printed artwork will do.
- No gaps -- always record live shows without gaps.
- Don't write on the CDs -- use Post-It notes or scraps of paper to
let me know which CD is which.
- Not for sale -- I do not sell my CD-Rs and I do not trade for blanks,
and requests to do so will be ignored.
- Remember that this is my hobby, not a business.
Other info
- My CD-R burner is a Plextor Plexwriter 16/10/40A
(16 speed)
- My CD-R software is an excellent *FREE* shareware program called
Feurio!.
It specialises in music CDs, and one of its many features is the ability
to record beyond the end of a normal CD
(it is often possible to record nearly 76 minutes of music onto a 74 minute CD).
It is easy to use, but offers advanced users complete flexibility.
Give it a try! And if you get on well with it, do consider registering it
and so helping the on-going development of this excellent program
(I've got nothing to do with them, I just can't believe that something so
good is available as freeware).
- I also use Exact Audio Copy
to extract data from suspect or problem CDs (this is another great bit of shareware)
